C. 1970's. Absolutely unreal flush-set chalcedony ring by the iconic Spanish modernist silversmith, Joachim S-Paliu. The shape of this ring is gorgeous and seamless. A very clever design, as the setting spreads up along the finger rather than being centered, with an asymmetrically curving band at the sides. This makes for a super comfortable ring, incredible considering the large stone, and allows the finger to move freely. Carved and cast - one solid, heavy piece of silver. This incredible stone specimen is darker than your run-of-the mill chalcedony, almost ultramarine, but still has that ethereal, milky glow when the light hits. The design of this ring feels as though it was inspired by this stone, a very special find. Faint hallmarks and purity stamped on the back of the band.
