C. 1960’s. Large and striking carnelian cabochon set in a sterling silver bezel. This bezel was design with such intention, as you can see with the angle where metal touches stone. The bail is an angular rectangle shape, and the patina of the metal is such an unexpected compliment to the bright and milky glow of the stone. The back has been left open to enhance the richness of the carnelian. Such an amazing standalone piece. Hallmark delicately stamped on the back.
