C. 1970's, a brilliant design by the American craft jeweler Ed Levin. Perfect lightweight collar, a solid sheet of 14k yellow gold hand-forged and fused to a solid sheet of sterling silver on the backside, created a flexible yet sturdy form. This is the perfect collar. It feels seamless when worn, and has great potential for layering. The gold fusion (much different than plating, which would wear off) over the silver backing gives it the perfect hue, a perfect piece to mix metals with. This could easily become an everyday staple. Hallmarks and purity marked on the end of the collar.
