An early 1900's sterling silver Albert chain of ideal thickness and weight, finished with original swiveling T-Bar and dog clip fastening, along with a really special horseshoe fob. The chain is stamped with lion passants (the English standard for sterling silver) on every curb link, and includes full English hallmarks on the dog clip and T-bar, dated for the year 1904.
The horseshoe is a treasure all on its own, and was added many years later, perhaps to mark a special occasion. On one side, the fob includes detailed horseshoe markings, and on the other is inscribed "GOOD LUCK," along with some of the most thorough English hallmarks I've come across, including: maker's insignia, Birmingham office assay hallmarks and date stamp for the year 1939, Registration number and "England". (Incidentally, this was the year that England entered WW2).
16” adjustable, 36.2 grams.
