C. 1970's. This amazing hand carved artisan ring takes on the shape of ribbon or paper. The folds hold a lustrous patina which add beautiful depth. The weight of this statement ring wears extremely well. Maker's mark and purity stamps for the New York jeweler Alfred Karram, whose work has been acquired by several museums over the years, including MFA Boston and the Museum of Arts and Design NY. A real brutalist treasure.
